I work remotely as an Embedded Perception Engineer with Rhoman Aerospace, a Los Angeles–based aerial autonomy startup. Most of my time goes into building the perception and autonomy algorithms that let drones actually ‘see’ their surroundings and make decisions in real time. I typically develop on an NVIDIA Jetson using a ROS2 backend.
In 2024 I defended my PhD in the field of Robotics from Oregon State University, advised by Dr. Ross Hatton. My research specialized in geometric algorithms and control optimization for mobile dynamic robots. I am an expert in nonlinear dynamics, biomechanics, and control for robotic systems.
In my free time, I enjoy making ceramic pottery and laser-cut art. I also enjoy playing the guitar and banjo, rock climbing, and whitewater rafting.
